About the event
Pennie Naylor is a yoga and breath-work teacher specialising in yin and therapeutic yoga. Dr Katie Overbury is a psychologist, yoga and breath-work facilitator. Together they aim to offer you a transformative afternoon, in a safe and inclusive space, where you are comfortable to find some rest, release and reawaken into your life.
We are offering you a transformative afternoon, an exploration into the subconscious mind through yin yoga, meditation and awareness, guided breath-work, somatic movement and meditation journey, combining science and spirituality to deep dive into the subconscious mind.
What to Expect:
- Opening Circle with (optional) cacao
- Intention/Sankalpa setting
- Gentle breath-work
- Yin Yoga
- Break time
- Introduction to Conscious Connect Breath
- Somatic Movement to prepare for the breath work journey
- Conscious Connected Breath
- Meditation and Intention
- Closing Circle
How to Prepare:
- Please do not eat two hours prior to your session.
- Bring with you a journal and pen.
Who should NOT do Breath-work:
Breath work may not be for you if you have the following conditions: Cardiovascular problems, high or abnormal blood pressure, History of aneurysms, Epilepsy or history of seizures, Anyone on heavy medication, Severe psychiatric symptoms, particular psychosis or paranoia, Bipolar depression, Osteoporosis, Recent surgery, Glaucoma, Pregnancy, Any person with mental illness who isn’t in treatment or lacks adequate support, Anyone experiencing an emotional or spiritual crisis. This list is not all inclusive and we generally recommend if you have a question about a condition you may have that is not listed, that you consult a physician before beginning Breath-work.
All participants will be required to sign a breath-work liability waver and release form.
